Objective: The aim of the study was to create a fully automated irrigating fluid delivery and refilling system prototype in a simulated environment using locally available and affordable equipment in the Philippines for the potential use in cystoscopic procedures.

Materials and Methods: The fully automated irrigating fluid delivery and refilling system prototype was assembled using the following: 5 gallon distilled water, Hailea HX-6530 immersible water pump, two polyurethane tubings, 2L irrigating can, and Demiko Liquid Level Control Switch. The system's functionality was evaluated on the basis of its ability to mechanically deliver and automatically replenish irrigating fluid into the irrigating can from the water reservoir without any human intervention, in a simulated environment, taking into consideration the conventional requirements of cystoscopy.

Results: The fully automated irrigating fluid delivery and refilling system prototype was observed to be able to supply and maintain adequate irrigating fluid within the irrigating can during a simulated cystoscopic procedure without any human intervention.

Conclusion: The fully automated irrigating fluid delivery and refilling system prototype was able to accomplish its projected function. However, adjustments and changes may still have to be undertaken, giving attention in particular to the sterility of the system.
